How it works ?

(Assuming that you have verified your domain name).
You basically have to use an <img... /> HTML tag and point the link to vSnaps. Then your video thumbnail will be added to the queue. The video thumbnails are processed on first come first served basis.

Who should use vSnaps video thumbnail generation service ?

If you keep your videos on your site then it will be good to have your video thumbnails automatically generated for each video right?
Otherwise you will have to create one for every single file or make the video pause the video at the first frame. Using the last approach would make the users' browser to preload the video in order to see the thumbnail.

Why should I use this service ?

It's a convenience. Also if your hosting provider does not allow you to install external binary files then this is another good reason to use vSnaps video thumbnail generation service.

I use YouTube for all my videos. Should I use your service anyways ?

No. YouTube and other similar sites already generate a thumbnail so you don't have to use it .
This service is useful when you have a lot of videos on your site and don't have the time or the programs to generate the thumbnails for all of them.

How can I use the service ?

Please follow Integration steps and then as soon there is a request for the image
e.g. <img ....> the thumbnail generation will be scheduled for download after an approval from the administrator.

How can I have thumbnails generated for my videos ?

You need to follow the steps defined in Integration.
Basically after your site has been verified the thumbnail generation will be scheduled.

When will the thumbnails of my video files be ready ?

The delay depends on how many sites there are in queue at that particular moment.

How will I know if there are any problems with the generation process.

Currently there isn't a status page but in near future there will be one.

Are there any limitations ?

Yes. The maximal video file size is 25 MB.
Everything except video files (Extensions: MOV, FLV, WMV, MP4, AVI etc) will be rejected.
